Hey Dave, I will personally make sure the entire teams gear is cleaned and disinfected properly.  I have a few friends that have had there favorate streams hit hard by didymo. Great job again on this years cup. See you in Sept.

Sean
 Thanks: We hope get this adopted for all comps so that our rivers stay clean. We have had a problem out in Colorado even though signs are posted on almost all rivers. Not enough people take care in cleaning the gear after use. We look forward to having your team come to the America Cup. I hope that you are getting in lots of time on the river to prepare for the Cup. The competition is going to be stiff.

nice rainbow Dave.....and ditto on the didymo ( as flyfishermen I think we are all aware and will keep doing our part to get this under control, but must also help to educate the unedcated)
ps from what i have heard 409 disinfectant IS way better than bleach for your gear

Team winner Team USA
is back to defend The Cup against a variety of European anglers.  Just back from the World Championships, the showdown is sure to be about big numbers on every beat!

Individual winner Michael Drinan is returning from Ireland to defend his title and does not fear our Colorado rivers or anglers.  Will there be an upset here?

Watch out for wild card teams from North Carolina & Arkansas, these anglers bring a stealthy southern fishing game.

WELCOME to the 15th Team.
Team Adaptive Colorado
Sarah Will (12 gold medals paralympics) will lead an adaptive team including Cliff Thompson and Tred Barta of Versus fame 2 other members to be anounced.  We are honored to have these anglers join The Cup.

Due to water concerns or lack of, we will not be fishing Ten-Mile Creek. So this is the way it's going to work. We are having 2 sessions on the Blue and Ark and 1 session on the Colorado.

Just a little update:
 The Polish team has arrived to get a weeks practice in.
I guess they are taking this very seriously and want to take the America Cup back to Poland with them. Most of the other teams arrive Sunday and Monday. As the Cup begins on the 16th with the team and captain meeting. Results will be posted on the website every evening starting on the 17th.

Nice to see the polish are looking at this as a competition they want to win.  They will be tuff to beat with all the extra prep time.

Looking forward to the updates Dave.

1st update from the cup;
 Most of the teams have arrived and I had dinner with the Guys form Team N.C. Team Stonefly and the some members of the Australian Team. Great nite but short, lots of talk about comp fishing in the U.S. and where should we go fish. Most of the teams out to day getting time in on the Blue and Arkansas. I will try to put up little updates everyday, but for the scoring info go to the Cup website. The scores will be posted every evening.
