Rods set Up for river to switch up fast!!
« on: June 17, 2010, 12:51:41 PM »
There is no need to have all in-one leader or rod setup, just have three rods rigged and have them one you.

This is from the worlds in Poland

I could just imagine swimming across the Diable with three rods and a fish in the net--hilarious.

these videos are awesome. Now some of the guys don't impress to much on the videos but other ones are really giving me some good ideas to try on the stream.

I see a lot of floating lines with relatively short leaders on the San. Only one guy in the videos was fishing an all mono setup.

Looks like dead drifting mixed with some swinging and lifts for that slick water.

Great to get to watch videos of these guys!

On a river the size of the San it makes sense to take another rod on the water with you if you expect to be doing very different techniques.  I can't wait to see what new techniques the boys bring home!

Having more than one rod rigged is commonplace in the world of competitive bass and walleye fishing.  The situations can change very rapidly and you have to be ready for it.

When I go bass fishing, I have around twelve different rods set-up and ready to go (that's just for fun, I don't compete).  I never figured out a way I could do that fly fishing, but this guy seems to have found a solution.
