Hey all, a friend pointed me to this site and all I can say is WOW!  The wealth of knowledge here is amazing and I look forward at learning different aspects of fly fishing.

I've been fly fishing for sometime (mainly nymphing) but last weekend I was introduced to Euro style by my son in-law and had a blast; Thanks Dom.  It was hard to believe how light the takes were and the sucessfull hookups I had.  I can only imagine how many fish I've missed through the years because I didn't know they were there.

Well, I got the chores done (wife is happy) and the creek is calling so I'm headed out to practice.

There he is.  Huh, what do ya know, now I'm showing people how to euro nymph.  You might want to find a better teacher than me, Rick.   :)

Good fishing last weekend.  Kind of opens up a whole new world, huh?

Enjoy the day.

Hey Rick,

I haven't seen you in a while and I hope all is well.  It's great to hear you are having success with Domenick's Euro-Nymphing Techniques.  He showed the Euro-Nymphing Technique that he invented and developed and it has really changed my way of nymphing and my success rate (some will get this joke and reference).  Seriously, Euro-Nymphing is such a departure from what I knew, but with my limited skills and time on the water, I have really felt my success has increased with it.  Keep practicing and I look forward to getting back on the water with you and Domenick soon.

Nice.  Way to put it in capital letters.  I've applied for the trademark as well.   ;)

Seriously, you guys need to go find somebody who really knows what they're doing and then teach me.

Enjoy the day.

Thanks guy's appreciate the welcome.  Steve good to hear from you been a long time since the LJ cicada trip. Looking  forward when we can meet up again so we can share some fine stream side cuisine. Been messin around with some new recipes and have some new ideas for that sammie.   Hope you like melananzana (that would be eggplant).

I've been a big fan of streamside cuisine too.  I wonder if we should devote a whole board to it :) ?  Haven't seen that done yet on a fly fishing forum.

Well, when Rick decides to make a sandwich there's no kidding around.  I usually put some peanut butter on some cheap bread, but Rick basically brings a loaf of Ciabatta or a Rustic Loaf, cuts it in half like a big bun and proceeds to stack in the salamis, peppers, cheeses and whatever else.  Most of the ingredients are homemade.

So he's a great fishing partner!   :)

Tell em about your huge burgers stuffed with cheese and finished with secret sauce buddy.

Enjoy the day.

The burger is pretty simple you just need to think big and savory.  Kind of like moms best meat loaf plus a lot of heat  ;D,  For stuffing my preference is blue cheese but Smoked Gouda or Pepper Jack will work in a pinch.  As far as the secret sauce goes, well we'll just leave it at that.

Dejon nice idea on a food/recipe thread I'm down with that.  There is nothing better than getting back to camp or home and enjoy a great meal and wash it down with Bourbon (especially in a tin cup) reminiscing about the day be it a good one or crappy.
