Polish nymphing for, bass,sunfish ect...
« on: May 17, 2010, 05:08:33 PM »
I decided to give a chance to this creek by my house, but didn't except to catch any thing but turned out to be a blowout catching about 15 sunfish and some very large Bass. Every fish was taken on my anchor, (vladi worm) in a size 4# in the right corner of the mouth. Very enjoyable except the snakes.

How did the snake appreciate the vladi? Ha, Ha Guess I'll have to try long line nymphing on smallies this summer! I was thinking it would probably work!

I know the big stone fly anchors work great for bass I found that out last summer and had a blast.  Smallmouths are so much fun on a fly rod.

There is some crazy looking pocket water below the dam that empties the Lehigh River into the Delaware.  It is totally wadable in the summer.  I've caught smallmouth there in the past with my spinning tackle.  Looks like I may have to try it out this year with my flyrod..
