Big Box Flies

I'm not sure how many of you guys don't tie but if you don't you should check out cabela's. They actually have a decent selection of Euro type flies. I know how hard it can be to find these type flies in your local fly shop.

Watch for sales as well.

I cleaned them out of Egan's Frenchie a few months back.  At $1.88 for two,  you couldn't pass them up.

I remember seeing the frenchie in the bargain basement section. Then I remember seeing they were all gone. Now we know who is to blame.  ;)

You should of seen the package they came in...

The flies came in sets of two, and Umpqua packaged each set in a box about twice the size of a small match box.  Each of those boxes was shrink wrapped then placed in a larger box for delivery.

Multiply that by (cough) sets ordered and it looked like they were delivering a tent.

Oh...and when I carried the box inside and my wife asked what I'd ordered...and I said flies.  That's a look I'll never forget.

Damn you chris and all your money...I finally got some cash went to order those and they were all sold out.  I knew who was to blame!

I finally figured that dubbing out too...took me a couple tries but I have it almost to the T.  almost an Exact match of the umpqua frenchie blend.  My flies will now be unstoppable! AHAHAHA!
