Thats the problem with telling everyone your going fishing, you need to produce pictures.

I did just fine.  Good to be out despite the cold.  1 gorgeous little wild brook trout and a handful of leaping wild browns.  Even though I knew exactly where I was going I took my new NuviGPS for a ride.  Actually opened up new parts of a stream I've been fishing for years.  Can't believe the detail and accuracy of the positioning.  My new plan is to re-explore every trout worthy water in a 3hour radius of homebase in 2010... it's just gonna take a few bucks in gas and licensing :)

I particularly like the fact you can mark a hidden parking spot on the GPS.  Keeps other people from finding the "honey holes"!

They usually all work. I just recommened measuring what you do some how and writing down so you can duplicate the blend if need be.

2 quick tips that helped me

Dont be afraid to spray a lil static guard on the grinder and lid. Not wet just a light spray.

Cut a piece of cardboard to fit the top of the coffee grinder saves a few minutes over the long haul to get the product out!

Nick points out a great tip...its not rocket science but a pinch is a pinch to you and use that as reference to start. Will help when you inevitably make that perfect batch!!!

Nick writing blend recipes down certainly helps. some of my favorites were tough to replicate by trial and error. The great thing about it you can always add more of this or that until you get the desired effect.  For collars I take the same blend I would for bodies and spruce it with squirrel or the like.  I like to use multiple colors of squirrel in a basic hares ear to create collar dubbing.  I put red and yellow squirrel in many basic nymph blends.  I like to let my 2 year old help also. I let her pick what she wants put it in a 20 oz. juice bottle with water and and use her bottomless energy to shake the crap out of it.  She has a knack for steelhead type dubbing lots of purple and pink ice dub.
