Streamer Sinking line
« on: August 19, 2009, 08:01:53 AM »
I will be the forst to admit my streamer tactics are not the greatest.  I am looking to get a sink tip or sinking line for my 6wt Redington CPS any suggestions on line types to try?

I haven't dabbled with sinking tips much.  I feel very confidant that I can handle nearly any situation with my SA Full Sink Types 1, 3, and 5.

Split shot also seems to be the bane of my existence.  I am going to pick up to sinking tips before steelhead season I think.  Any suggestions for an 8wt?

Go to the almighty tube fly if your swinging a fly. No split shot necessary.

Any suggestions on what company's sinking lines to look at?  Are some better than others?  I am mostly looking to use them from the bank lake fishing and casting big streamers on a couple of the big local rivers.
